Dagny's Coffee down town on Eye& 20th is the best place for tea in Bakersfield, and the coffee is dam good to. I like most have been to Starbuck coffee and must say their tea is very low quality for what they charge and more often than not there is a large number of people all waiting to squeeze into through and get their trendy coffee fix and even when it is the it is not crammed with people there is still the over whelming amount corporate junk that glares at you from every empty space, demanding you spend more money that you should on thing that you didn't even know you wanted till you saw the shiny and exotic packaging. Dagny's Coffee sell some new papers local rags and some fun t-shirt. They support local arts through display and performance on the ground. All the people working there (I think I have met all of them) actually like their job, which makes a big difference.
